Ryanair grows again in June 2007 and carries more passengers than BA

June 2007 was the month of Ryanair's "guaranteed lowest fares" sale - which resulted in ticket sales growing by 18%.

In the same time period, British Airways announced that its ticket sales dropped by 2.5%. Passengers are looking elsewhere for cheap tickets rather than paying the high costs and multiple fuel charges that British Airways flight incur.

To add insult to injury, Ryanair (which mainly service Europe) carried 45% more passengers than British Airways carried worldwide in June 2007.

Peter Sherrard, head of Communications at Ryanair said [Quote] "Once against consumers have confirmed resoundingly that Ryanair is the World's favourite airline."
