New second daily service to New York from end of July 2007

In conjunction with announcing their June passenger figures, the exclusive business class airline announced that from 31st July 2007, there would be a second daily service from London Luton to New York.

Similarly to the existing service on the route, return fares will start at £999 - for this completely business class service.

The new second flight will depart London Luton Airport at 16:45 and arive in New York at 19:45.

On its return journey, it will leave New York at 21:45 and arrive at Luton Airport at 09:45 - all times are local times.

June's traffic statistics were announced with 3564 paying passengers having flown and the load factor has improved for the fifth consecutive month to 70%.

A spokesman for the company said that future bookings are above the level that would hope for, and that the Silverjet website is attracting customers to book directly online.

With the end of July introduction of a second daily service to New York, Silverjet now offer more business class seats than any other airline.

At the end of July 2007, the airline also plans to announce the route for its third aircraft.
