bmi doubles daily flights to Moscow

Starting from March 2008, bmi will add an extra daily flight between London Heathrow and Moscow Domodedovo Airport in Russia.The new service will start on 30th March 2008 at the same time the new summer schedule commences. The new route between Moscow and Heathrow only started in October but has seen high demand. bmi's managing director Peter Spencer said [quote] “In launching the summer 2008 timetable we are pleased to be adding an extra flight to Moscow from Heathrow. Since launching the route less than eighteen months ago we have experienced encouraging growth and we now feel that by introducing an extra service we can provide an even more attractive schedule, thus widening its appeal to both point to point and connecting traffic at Heathrow.” Additionally, bmi will increase the number of flights between Heathrow and Manchester to eight flights each day and between Heathrow and Durham Tees Valley to three times a day. The number of flights between Heathrow and Leeds Bradford will reduce to four times a day and the service between Heathrow and Inverness will stop for the summer 2008 schedule - from 30th March 2008. bmi is the second largest airline at London's Heathrow Airport.
