New retailers at Liverpool Airport

Monday 28 January 2008 7:41 AM
Liverpool 'John Lennon' Airport is experiencing increased popularity with over 5.5 million people using the airport each year. Airlines flying from the airport are offering new routes to destinations across Europe and the future of the airport is looking rosy.

A number of new retailers have opened at the airport to try and attract some of the 5.5 million passengers through their doors.

The new retailers are Go Pizza, World in Motion, Bo Shoes and Antler - with the first three being located before security and Antler opening in the departure lounge.

Andrew Nicholls from the airport said [quote] "The number of stores at JLA has increased dramatically and with 5.5 million passengers now choosing to use JLA we have a fantastic choice of shopping with a great mix of top name brands, boutique stores and eateries for them to choose from."

Liverpool Airport has also recently become one of the first airports to install wind turbines to generate up to 6KW of electricity for the airport and boost its efforts in sustainable energy generation.
