Wizz Air carries 10 millionth passenger

Polish based Wizz Air announced a major milestone on 9th February 2008 - that in less than four years since it start operating, it has flown 10 million people across Wizzair routes in Europe.

The airline has recently expanded with its seventh base opening in Poznan in Poland.

New aircraft are expected to be delivered later this year, and a new based opens in Cluj in Romania in May 2008.

Wizzair also plan to start flying 20 new routes in the 6 months to summer 2008.

With strong passenger demand, the airline is also expecting to carry its next 10 million passengers by July 2009.
