Ryanair asks why its not included in the delayed baggage top league

Monday 25 February 2008 10:04 AM
Dublin based Ryanair have asked the AUC (Air Transport Users Council) why it and easyJet (two of the UKs biggest airlines) have not been included in the league of airlines with the worst track record of loosing or delaying luggage.

Peter Sherrard from Ryanair said that the new report only confirms what people already knew that British Airways was the worst offending airline for loosing luggage with over 27 bags being lost out of every 1000 items.

Ryanair's own statistics show the airline loosing 0.6 bags per 1000 - some 40 times less than British Airways.

As both Ryanair and easyJet are not members of the AEA (European High Fare Association), they and several other budget airlines were not included in the report.
