Lufthansa sees increase in passengers for January
Thursday 28 February 2008 9:18 PM
German airline Lufthansa has released its traffic figures for 2007 which reveal that more British people used the airline than the previous year.A staggering 3.7 million Brits flew with Lufthansa last year - a rise of 1.6% compared to the previous year. Lufthansa is a traditional airline providing the full service - not a cheap flight carrier like Ryanair or easyJet. The airline provides a variety of flights from some of the UK's bigger airports including Birmingham and Bristol - and also Dublin in mainland Ireland. Lufthansa's routes across Europe and also to America and Asia are still in demand from travellers. Marianna Sammann from the airline said in a statement [quote] "It proves that huge numbers of travellers still want the added value they receive from a full service airline". There is still a large proportion of travellers that want a full service onboard with meals, and an all inclusive price rather than having to pay for extras such as luggage. In a recent survey by Business Traveller Deutschland, Lufthansa was ranked in the top ten "business class travel" category.
