Thursday 28 February 2008 9:07 PM
Eastern Airways have announced they will increase the number of flights between Manchester and Stansted starting from 7th April.

The flights will increase from three times a day to four times a day on each week day.

The flight time is just over 1 hour, and departs Manchester at 7.15am, 11.05am, 2:20pm and 5.50pm. From Stansted, the flights depart at 8.45am, 12:30pm, 4pm and 7.20pm.

Fares on the popular route start from £49 including taxes, fees and charges.

Chris Holiday from the airline said [quote] "We are further enhancing our business schedules, offering commuters greater choice, convenience and flexibility to help them make the best use of day trips. Along with these additional services we have introduced great value one way fares on the route, which will also appeal to those travelling for leisure purposes".

With the 20 flights a week, and only on week days, the service is aimed at both business and leisure travellers.

Eastern Airways is quite unique in that amongst budget airlines it does not charge for hold luggage, passengers can choose there they sit and are offered complimentary drinks and snacks.

Eastern Airways recently started flights between London and Manchester after Air Berlin stopped the same route in October 2007.
