Iceland to become new destination for germanwings

German based budget airline germanwings has announced that from summer 2008 it will offer flights from Cologne/Bonn to Iceland's capital Reykjavik and will offer flights twice a week.

Iceland is becoming an increasingly popular destination for both business and leisure travellers.

Airlines such as Air Baltic, Icelandair and Iceland Express all provide flights from mainland Europe to Iceland.
