Chief Executive of British Airways, Willie Walsh, said that the airline is considering expanding the number of long haul flights it offers from London's Gatwick Airport.With British Airways due to move into Heathrow's new Terminal 5 in March 2008, Willie Walsh still believes that Gatwick has numerous opportunies for future expansion. BA currently operates flights from Gatwick to a variety of long haul destinations, including the Caribbean and USA. Flights to Barbados, Orlando, Houston, Bermuda, Grenada and St.Lucia are just some of those currently in operation. BA is keen to retain as many landing slots as possible and when the summer timetable starts at the end of March, BA will fly from Gatwick to Alicante, Fao, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tunis.
