United Airlines to reinstate London to Denver route

US airline United Airlines has announced that it will restart its operations from London Heathrow Airport to Denver in 2009.

United Airlines will operate a daily service from March 29th to October 24th, providing passengers with a direct service to the US mountain region.

Next year, the airline will further boost its transatlantic flight network with the launch of new flights from the Swiss city of Geneva to Washington DC.

Both of the new services will operate with first class, business class, premium economy and economy cabins.

United Airlines’ vice president of planning Kevin Knight said: "Our services to Geneva and London provide our customers with convenient access to two international business, financial and diplomatic centres that are also popular tourist destinations.

"We will continue to adjust our capacity to market conditions and seek new opportunities to serve markets that respond to our customers' needs and deliver the results necessary to return us to profitability."

United Airlines and its subsidiaries service a network of nearly 3,000 daily flights to domestic and international destinations, with hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington.
