New Virgin Atlantic flights to Orlando and the Caribbean

Saturday 27 December 2008 8:33 AM

Virgin Atlantic has just announced new Barbados and Orlando flights for its summer 2009 schedule, with new flights to Montego Bay in Jamaica to follow for the winter season.

Virgin’s new services will all operate from either Gatwick Airport or Manchester Airport.

The airline’s Manchester Airport to Barbados service will be augmented with additional Saturday flights from May 2nd to November 7th next year, complementing its existing Sunday service.

Virgin Atlantic will increase its schedule of services from Manchester Airport to Orlando with a new Sunday flight from April 26th to November 8th 2009. This brings Virgin’s total weekly flights on the Orlando route to ten.

Virgin will operate a third weekly service on the existing Gatwick Airport to Montego Bay route for the 2009 winter season, from November 13th 2009 and March 19th 2010.

A spokesman for Virgin Atlantic commented that Montego Bay has become a "major destination" for UK winter holidaymakers because of its warm weather and "modern luxury hotels".
