Over 2 million passengers fly with Ryanair over Christmas 2008

Christmas and New Year are always busy periods for travelling and the period in 2008 has been no exception.

Cheap flight airline, Ryanair, have announced that over 2 million passengers will fly on their aircraft over the christmas and new year period in 2007/8 and across the 26 countries and 605 routes that it offers.

The volume of passengers is up 20% compared to the same period in 2006/7 and it means that Ryanair will carry more international passengers that any other airline in the world this Christmas.

Other airlines such as easyJet, bmibaby and Wizzair are also likely to announced increased traffic numbers in the coming weeks.
