East Midlands to Cologne

Friday 7 December 2007 6:07 AM
Starting on 11th February 2008, bmi will start six-times a week flights from East Midlands Airport, UK to Cologne in Germany.

Cologne is an increasingly popular holiday destination for tourists and the six times a week flights are to help fulfil the demand for this route.

Cologne is also amongst the oldest cities in Germany with an immense number of historical attractions including the extremely impressive cathederal, churches, towers and other monuments.

December is the traditional time for the famous Christmas Markets in the city - including a floating market on the Rhine river.

A spokesperson from bmi said: [quote] "We are delighted to be launching services between East Midlands Airport and Cologne and we expect the route to be popular with both business and leisure travellers,"

Flights between Cologne and East Midlands can be booked via the bmi website.
