Finnair urges passengers use online check in facilities

Saturday 15 August 2009 7:13 AM

Finnair has encouraged its passengers to take full advantage of the benefits provided by using its online check-in capabilities.

The airline highlighted the fact that Finnish airports can become very busy towards the end of May and the beginning of June, especially at check-in and security inspection points.

Markku Remes, Finnair's representative for passenger experience, encouraged prospective passengers to avoid congestion at the airport by checking in online up to 36 hours before their flight is scheduled to depart.

He also reassured people travelling with unusual baggage such as sports equipment that this can be boarded through the self check-in process.

People flying with Finnair from its airport at Helsinki Vantaa Airport will find the check-in kiosks at departure halls two and three in the second terminal.

The carriers flight network from its hub in Helsinki includes flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and several other long-haul destinations.
