Take a shower on your flight with Emirates

Sunday 3 August 2008 9:06 AM

We mentioned last week about Emirates taking delivery of its first Airbus A380 superjumbo planes and more details have been released as to Emirates plans for these massive planes.

Emirates, based in Dubai, aims to make the A380 a top quality hotel in the sky.  It plans to have a wealth of amenities targeted at first class passengers and even plans to have showers on-board for those passengers paying for the luxury of first class travel.

At present, first class passengers have a "suite" which includes a double bed to sleep on the flight - plus their own flat screen tv.

Business class passengers on Emirates A380 flights (which are expected to operate long haul flights from London to Sydney, Auckland and New York) each have a fully-flat leather seat, access to a bar, and excellent inflight entertainment system as well as nifty storage areas in the aisle to store items such as laptop computers.

Emirates has ordered a total of 58 A380 superjumbos (each easily capable of carrying over 400 passengers).
