easyjet and Ryanair have record bookings over August bank holiday weekend

Monday 27 August 2007 3:03 PM
Perhaps it was the hot weather after a summer of rain, rain and more rain, but both Ryanair and easyJet have experienced record bookings over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The airlines also announced that a record number of passengers flew over the bank holiday weekend with Ryanair carrying over 1 million passengers across their numerous routes and easyJet carrying over 700,000 people in the same period.

These record figures are up by approximately 10% compared to the same period in 2006.

Destinations such as Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, Faro and Rome were all popular.
