easyJet to Gran Canaria but not from UK

The airline is set to launch cheap flights from Switzerland to the Canary Island in autumn 2007 as well as flights from mainland Spain to the Island.

The canaries are a popular destination with Swiss tourists and they often spend more when they get there - which in turn helps to boost the economy.
