All UK airports to reopen Tuesday 10pm

Tuesday 20 April 2010 9:05 PM
Transport Secretary Lord Adonis has announced that all UK airports are free to run flights from 10pm on Tuesday 20th April. This comes after almost a week of grounded flights, with travellers around the world stranded for days.

The Civil Aviation Authority has said that the risk to aircraft from the volcanic ash was much lower and considered it safe to fly. The reopening applies to short haul and long haul flights.
