Icelandair launches new flights to Seattle

Icelandair has just announced that it will launch a new flight service between London Heathrow and Seattle, via Reykjavik, this year.

The Seattle service will begin operating on July 22nd four times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The new Seattle flights, which are operating in partnership with Alaska Airlines, will offer travellers access to onward connections to North American destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Calgary and Vancouver.

Icelandair passengers who would like to make a stopover in Iceland can catch the new flights to Seattle from Manchester Airport.

Icelandair's general manager in the UK and Ireland, Hjorvar Saeberg Hognason, said: "With its accessible nature, active lifestyle and music scene, Seattle is a very similar destination to Iceland.

"We believe both are growing destinations waiting to be explored. And with the option of the Iceland stopover, we hope that passengers will consider combining Seattle and Iceland to make a unique holiday."

Icelandair’s international operations include connections to transatlantic destinations including Orlando, New York and Boston.
