Friday 25 April 2008 10:21 PM
Spanish airline LTE has announced three new routes from Norwich Airport to popular destinations in Spain.

Starting from 5th July, LTE will fly weekly to Palma, Barcelona and Alicante in Spain.

Michael Harrington, managing director of LTE said [quote] These will be our first scheduled flights from a regional airport in the UK and we have chosen Norwich because of its strong local catchment area and the support we have had from the airport..... We want to establish ourselves as the reference airline for Spanish destinations from Norwich and we are looking forward to extending the range of destinations served and frequency of flights.”

LTE has previously operated as a charter airline and has carried passengers on behalf of tour operators such as Thomson, First Choice and Thomas Cook.

LTE has a 5 year plan to increase its route network and increase the frequency of services to Spanish destinations which is expected to open-up short breaks and attract second home owners to use the airline.

Ticket prices for the three new routes start from £69 one-way including taxes and charges and tickets can be booked from the LTE website today.
