Monarch increases flights to Canaries over the winter

Monarch Airlines has announced its 2008/2009 winter schedule which shows that the airline is increasing the number of flights between the UK and the Canary Islands over the winter period.Birmingham to Lanzarote & Tenerife sees the number of available seats for passengers increase by 15% with three flights a week to Lanzarote and daily flights to Tenerife. Luton to Lanzarote & Tenerife sees increases to three flights a week to Lanzarote and also daily flights to Tenerife. Liz Savage, Managing Director of Monarch said [quote] "We're once again ahead of our rivals by putting our entire winter programme on sale before the summer months begin, and with more flights to the destinations our passengers want, we're giving them exactly what they want too. Demand for travel to the Canary Islands in particular has been huge for winter. " She went on to say "Our core routes to destinations such as Alicante and Malaga remain strong and with up to seven flights a week to both airports, our passengers will benefit from having more choice about when and where they fly.” Monarch will shortly announce their winter schedules for flights from Manchester and London's Gatwick airport. Monarch was one of the first airlines in the world to offer passengers the possibility of paying by Paypal rather than credit/debit card for online ticket booking.
