Friday 4 April 2008 8:36 PM
Use of public transport to Liverpool's John Lennon Airport is getting increasing popular with more passengers using public transport to get there.

Since 2005, its estimated that 75% more passengers are using buses or trains to get to the airport - more passengers are deciding to ditch the car and use a more environmentally method of transport to start off their holiday.

Liverpool Airport's general manager said "The recent improvements in services and public transport facilities both on and off site are making a real difference and helping to deliver the objective of seeing more airport passengers choose to use public transport.".

Liverpool has one of the best records for public transport compared to many other airports in the UK.
