British Airways says it will operate full schedule at Heathrows Terminal 5

Friday 4 April 2008 8:17 PM
The opening of Heathrow's new Terminal 5 by British Airways didn't go at all to plan and it made headline news across the world for all the wrong reasons.

However, 10 days after its initial opening, British Airways has stated that it expects to operate a full schedule from now on and doesn't expect any flights to be cancelled.

In a statement from British Airways, they said "We accept the level of service we have provided has not been good enough. We are working hard to overcome the initial operational difficulties we have encountered."

The airline also added that it was extremely sorry for the disruption that affected thousands of passengers and earlier in the week, Willie Walsh, BAs chief executive said that the airline remains confident that it can overcome the early difficulties they had with the new terminal.
