Aegean Airlines announces new Stansted to Athens flights

Starting on 15th May, Aegean Airlines will offer a twice-daily service between London Stansted and Athens in Greece.

Flights will take off from London at 10.20am and 8.00pm and depart from Athens at 07:30am and 5:10pm.

Each flight will have 195 seats across economy and business classes and an Airbus A321 will be used on the service.

Stavros Dalikas from Aegean Airlines said "Greece has always been a very popular, year-round holiday destination for the British and there has been a steady increase in the business sector in recent years".

He also said that the London to Athens route is an important route for the airline.

Athens is a popular city for tourists with a big history and lots of tourist attractions including the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum. Over 3.2 million people live in Athens.
