Zoom Airlines announces London to New York for only 129 pounds

Zoom Airlines have announced low cost transatlantic air travel with London to New York flights from £129 - much lower than the BA, Virgin and American carriers.

Zoom Airlines operates an Easyjet-style booking service with possibilities of booking just one-way tickets with full flexibility - and the New York to London flights will be offering economy and premium economy services with meals and possibility of designated seating.

John Boyle, one of the owners of Zoom, has recently criticised the existing transatlantic carriers for charging too much for air travel on the London - New York route and Zoom's £129 one way provides an extremely viable and affordable alternative. Zoom's advertised price of £129 also includes all taxes, fees and charges.

Flying Abroad's comments: With the Sterling/Dollar exchange rate at just over $2 per £, holidaying in America is much more attractive and offering even cheaper shopping than you would normally get in the US.
