The outer ring road of the Manchester conurbation is the M60, which can be accessed from Liverpool or Leeds through the M62 and from Scotland and the south of England using the M6. Various intercity bus services can get you there too, and the local bus services are frequent and serve the full area.Getting about in the city centre can be done easily by foot or using the city’s Metrolink tram service, which is unfortunately somewhat expensive to travel on. Manchester boasts many areas and attractions, including: - Chinatown, around George Street and Faulkner Street, is a genuine experience, with signs in both English and Chinese and the residents speaking to each other in Chinese. It also houses many restaurants and shops. - The Village, around Canal Street, is one of the oldest and most established gay communities in Europe and is a great place to go for bars and clubs, especially as it is renowned for its tolerance towards all people.
