Its inhabitants are known as Liverpudlians and famous locals include Cilla Black, the Beatles, Ken Dodd, Jimmy Tarbuck and John Moores. Getting to Liverpool is possible by road, rail, port or by air. Liverpool Lime Street station is the hub for connections in and out of the city with trains operating to London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich and other major citiies in the UK. The train journey from Liverpool to London is approximately 2 1/2 hours. By road, the M62 motorway joins Liverpool to the north-south M6 motorway - which provides connection to Manchester, Birmingham and north to Scotland. Liverpool's airport, renamed to Liverpool John Lennon Airport in 2001 provides domestic and International flights to over 64 destinations including Spain, Italy, United States, Canada and Germay.
