Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's main airport with its popularity growing year-on-year as Scotland's connections with the rest of Europe and Internationally develop. Over 85 destinations are served but some 50 airlines - many of which are very small airlines.
Where is it, and how to get there
THe airport is well located and accessible regardless of how you are travelling to the airport.By road, the M9 motorway and A8 roads bring you easily to the airport. By rail, Edinburgh's main railway station is in the city centre, and a bus or taxi is needed to get to the airport. From the railway station, services to Glasgow and the north are available, as well as southwards to England and beyond. By bus, a regular bus service operates back and forth to the city centre with buses running every 10 minutes (although a bit longer at peak times) and a journey time of 25 minutes. Cost of a ticket is £5 return. By taxi, a journey of 20 minutes will get you to the city centre at a cost of £20.
