Local Airports In Dublin
Getting in to Dublin can be done through various methods. There is a single-terminal airport just north of the City, which also provides bus services to the city. There are two main train stations, Heuston and Connolly, which serve separate sides of the country, and are linked by bus and tram routes. The trams run frequently, and give a journey time of about 15 minutes between stations. The single bus station in the city serves the whole country, and is beside Connolly station, as well as a number of private bus companies which run out of the city centre. There is a park and ride service as well, for people who are driving in.There is plenty to do and see within the city, including the National Museum, National Library and National Gallery. Why not also have a look at visiting: - Dublin Castle - The Bram Stoker Museum, taking you through the life of the Dracula author. - Phoenix Park, which is the largest enclosed urban park in Europe, and encompasses Dublin zoo as well. Keep an eye out for the herd of fallow deer that live there. - The Viking Splash Tours run through the city and river in a WWII amphibious craft. - The Guinness Storehouse introduces you to the history of Ireland’s national drink through a self-guided tour of the museum. Even better, the entry fee includes a pint of Guinness.
